A streaming menu is built to keep offering the next possibility. That can be helpful, but it can also make a promising film vanish among dozens of tiles. A short watch list outside the app gives your curiosity somewhere to live. Add a title because of a friend’s recommendation, a director you want to explore or a review that described the mood well.
Keep the list small enough to make a choice. Five to ten titles across different lengths and tones can cover a quiet evening, a group viewing and a weekend with more time. Write one note about why each interested you. Without that note, a title you saved weeks ago may become another unfamiliar option.
Check where a title is available only when you plan to watch. Catalogs change, and a single film may be cheaper to rent than another month of a service. A library can sometimes provide a viewing option as well. Availability is practical information, not a measure of quality.
Remove titles without guilt. A watch list should reflect what you want to see now, not a lifetime of homework. The best version makes starting a movie easier and leaves more of the evening for the movie itself.
