Film at Lincoln Center has scheduled the New York premiere of The Debut for 10:45 a.m. today in the 64th New York Film Festival’s Spotlight program. Jesse Eisenberg wrote and directed the 105-minute film, which is being released by A24.
Julianne Moore stars as Mona, a New Jersey housewife who joins a local musical despite having no stage experience. Paul Giamatti plays Jerry, the production’s demanding director, and Eisenberg also wrote the music and lyrics for the show within the film.
