The 24th Tallgrass Film Festival begins today in Wichita, Kansas, and runs through October 18. Organizers list 25 features and 83 short films from 16 countries across the four-day program.

The feature lineup includes the world premiere of Graham High’s documentary Harrison Ford Comes to Wichita and Seized, Sharon Liese’s film about the police raid on the Marion County Record. Competition sections span documentary, narrative, Kansas-made and independent work, while the shorts programs include animation and music video.

Tallgrass has returned most of its activity to a walkable Old Town Square footprint, with screenings and gatherings at several nearby venues. This is a preview of the announced program, not a report on films or events before they have been seen.
