Film at Lincoln Center has scheduled the New York premiere of Rose for noon today in the 64th New York Film Festival's Main Slate. Markus Schleinzer directed the 94-minute Austrian-German production, which is presented in German with English subtitles.
Sandra Hüller plays a woman in the 17th century who disguises herself as a male soldier during the Thirty Years' War and continues living under that identity afterward. The official synopsis follows the character into a Protestant community where her new standing brings both opportunity and growing suspicion.
Hüller received the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival's Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance, and Austria selected the film as its entry for the 2027 International Feature Film Oscar. This notice records the festival screening and official credits; it does not review the film or imply attendance.
