The 64th New York Film Festival is extending screenings beyond its Lincoln Center home. Film at Lincoln Center has published an October 2–9 schedule for venues in all five boroughs, including BAM in Brooklyn, the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, Alamo Drafthouse Staten Island, and AMC Bay Plaza Cinema in the Bronx.

The expanded geography changes how a festival can meet its audience. A screening close to home may make a program easier to reach for viewers who would otherwise have to cross the city. The venue schedule also gives each borough a distinct selection, so readers should check the film and showtime for the location they intend to visit.

The organizer’s schedule lists individual screenings and ticket links, including talks and filmmaker appearances at some events. Availability may change. Our guide to the festival is a starting point; the official schedule is the source for current times, venues and tickets.
