The Metropolitan Opera has scheduled Verdi’s Macbeth for a 3 p.m. performance today at the Metropolitan Opera House. The matinee is part of the production’s September 22 through October 20 run.
Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts, with Lise Davidsen as Lady Macbeth, Quinn Kelsey in the title role, Ryan Speedo Green as Banquo and Freddie De Tommaso as Macduff. The production adapts Shakespeare’s tragedy of ambition, prophecy and political violence.
This is a schedule and cast notice, not a review of the performance. Casting, seat availability and curtain times can change, so patrons should consult the Met’s current performance page before traveling.
